Project Description
Client: T. Watters
Location: Victor, Idaho
Year Completed: 2024
This project consisted of building an extended driveway against Highway 31 outside of Victor, Idaho. The customer’s original driveway existed their property onto a blind corner on Hwy 31. Idaho DOT expressed concern and strongly suggested they construct a new driveway with a more visible entrance. In addition to DOT permitting, this project required DOT signage, flaggers, and a safety program to help alleviate the traffic concerns.
The Challenges
This driveway was a design-build, with no engineered drawings. Excavation took place proximal to their septic leach field. Trucks were required to be loaded out on the highway for a portion of the project.
